What is Physics
Etymological origin
Physics comes from a Greek Word – physika ( φυσική) , literally “the natural things. Its Sanskrit equivalent is Bhautiki (भौतिकी) which refers to study of physical world.

Physics is the Natural Science that studies matter , its fundamental constituents , its motion and behavior through space and time , and the related entities of energy and force. Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, with its main goal being to understand how the universe behaves.

Unification And Reductionism
Unification – In physics we apply knowledge acquired from solving one problem to solve another problem similar/related problems. I.e we generalise the acquired knowledge in form and adopt it as a laws and trying to applying to solving another problems. This process of Generalization of laws is known as Unification
Example – Newton gave the laws of gravitation by observation of falling apple 🍏 from 🌲 tree.
Now he solve another problem like projectile Motion, The motion of moon around the earth, Motion of planets in solar system etc.
Reductionism – it is the process of breaking dawn complex law in simpler one .
